Below are the current vacancies at Foal Farm.

Foal Farm are looking for some very special people to join our dedicated hard working team here. You must share our charitable aims and ethos and be prepared to go that extra bit further! Experience is preferred but we would train the right people.

 

                     CLEANER for Animal Enclosures and Public Areas

                                    (Primarily Large Animals)

Part Time – 20 hours Per Week

Based at Foal Farm Animal Rescue Centre, Biggin Hill, Kent

 

General Job Description

To ensure that all animal enclosures are fully cleaned to FOAL standards under the supervision of an Animal Carer, with particular emphasis on our large animal round.

Other animal enclosures may include kennels, cattery and small animal round. The post holder will also need to ensure that all public areas are kept clean and tidy as directed by management.

 

Person Specification

  • A fastidious nature with an interest in completing a cleaning task to a very high standard and with attention to detail
  • A minimum level of fitness due to the physically demanding nature of the role
  • Flexibility and the ability to work as part of a team
  • A genuine interest in animal welfare
  • An understanding and empathy with the views and objectives of FOAL
  • Clean driver’s license is desirable

                                     Volunteer Co-ordinator

Hours: 21 hours across 3 days

Salary: £7,800 to £8,000 per annum, depending on experience

Location: Foal Farm Animal Rescue Centre in Biggin Hill

 

We are looking for an experienced Volunteer Co-ordinator to manage, schedule, train and recruit our group of volunteers to ensure the continued health and happiness of our animals.

 

The list below is not exhaustive but the role would include:

Tasks:

  • Recruit volunteers to assist with the day to day running of Foal Farm
  • Ensure all rotas are covered for shops, animal teams etc
  • Actively support all volunteers
  • Be attuned to Health & Safety requirements
  • Organisation of volunteers for special events on site, outside events and any other requirements
  • Maintain the database of volunteers

Required skills and experience:

  • Good understanding of volunteering
  • Good understanding of Health & Safety
  • Good level of competence using Office (Excel, Word, Publisher)
  • Good communication and listening skills.
  • Good organisational skills.
  • Good team player and a commitment to the ethos of the charity.
