Donated Goods Sorter

We are in need of people with a few hours to spare to help sort the many donations we are lucky enough to receive at FOAL  If you have a few hours to spare on a Wednesday to join our team of sorters at the farm or a few hours any other day to help at our Biggin HIll Valley shop we would love to hear from you.  Please contact Jenny our Volunteer Co-ordinator on 01959572386 ext 213 or volunteering@foalfarm.org.uk

Rummage Sale Day Helper

On the last Sunday of the month we hold a rummage sale day.  Helpers are needed to set up, run stalls and clear up, and also to help with traffic control (using walkie talkies) on the driveway. Driver

Have you got a van or a large/spacious car and an hour or two to spare once or twice a week? We are in need of people to help us transport donated goods between the farm and our offsite shop in Biggin Hill Valley. Shop Helper - Biggin Hill Valley Shop

We are seeking enthusiastic and motivated people to assist with a wide range of duties associated with the smooth running of our charity shop.   Duties will include assisting and serving customers, taking payment for goods, pricing donated goods, making sure that donated goods are suitable for resale and making sure that the shop is clean and tidy at all times.    Hours: Mornings - 10am - 1.30pm Afternoons - 1pm - 4pm Full Day - 10am - 4pm Sessions can be arranged Monday to Saturday to suit.    Main duties and responsibilities     Assisting and serving customers Sorting and pricing donations Keeping the shop clean and tidy at all times Till work Actively up sell our goods Answer any questions regarding Foal farm Take part in Foal farm event days Ensure Foal farm Health and Safety Policies are adhered to   Experience   No experience necessary but a genuine desire to promote Foal farm as a charity and the work that it does Team player with a flexible approach Excellent customer service skills     If you would like to help us in this way, please contact Jenny, our volunteer co-ordinator on 01959 572386 ext. 203 or volunteering@foalfarm.org.uk or by downloading an application form

Voluntary Tea Room helpers

We are seeking enthusiastic and motivated people to assist with a range of duties associated with the day to day running of our tea room.  Hours of work are 4 hours per day to be worked between 1pm and 5pm on a regular basis or occasional days as arranged. Main duties and responsibilities: 1. Undertake a range of duties associated with the day to day running of the tea room - Assisting / Serving customers Preparing for service Keeping the tea room/kitchen clean and tidy at all times Till work General housekeeping eg. taking orders to customers, clearing tables etc.. 2. To ensure that food hygiene regulations are adhered to 3. To maintain cleanliness of the facility ensuring it's highest standard at all times 4.Ensure the Foal Farm Health and Safety policies and regulations are adhered to 5. Liase with the Tea Room Manager to ensure the smooth and effective running of the tea room.  6. Enthusiastic interest and experience in a range of catering and customer service activities 7. Team player with a flexible approach and ability to work on own initiative 8. Good organisational and customer service skills 9. Knowledge of relevant health and safetly legislation, however training will be provided 10. Basic food hygiene certificate or willingness to work towards one. We are also looking for people to help in our tea room with children's parties. Emporium Helper

Our newly re-vamped Emporium will be opening soon. Have you got an interest in antiques?, or do you just fancy helping out in FOAL's own little curiosity shop? Do you have a regular weekly afternoon, or just an odd afternoon or two a month to spare, we would love to hear from you.
