Pat Mack, President (non-voting)

Pat has been involved with Foal Farm for over 20 years. Starting out as a volunteer dog walker, Pat later became a trustee, a position she held for five years and after retiring she was made president in 2013. She loves all animals but dogs are her special love. She has lived in Keston for the past 40 years.

Paul Dewdney, Chairman

Paul retired in 2009 following a 35 year career in the supermarket industry, where he had a variety of positions in the fields of supply chain strategies, planning, forecast management and retail operations. His last role was Head of Global Logistics for J Sainsbury plc. He sponsors several animals at FOAL Farm and visits on a regular basis. He has a passion for the Farm and all of the animals. He joined the Board of Trustees in March 2015 and became Honorary Secretary in September 2015. In 2019 Paul took on the role of Chairman.

Fay Hoyland

Fay is currently Head of Media and Policy at one of the UK’s leading alcohol, drug and mental health charities We Are With You where she is responsible for all of the organisation’s external affairs activity. Previously, Fay led public relations teams both in-house at international children’s charity Save the Children and in agencies working across health, food and drink brands. In addition to her involvement with Foal Farm, Fay is also a volunteer Brownie Girl Guide leader.

Ed Knox

Ed is a Chartered Accountant and is currently the Group Director of Operations with Domestic and General. Ed started his career at Rolls-Royce before moving to ExxonMobil, where he qualified as an accountant, then onto HSBC where he held various roles including Chief Operating Officer in Luxembourg, Qatar and Kuwait. Ed has two dogs, Peanut and Twiglet, and has been a trustee at Foal since September 2019.

Nick Ulycz

Nick is the Chief Operating Officer at Domestic & General. He oversees all operational, HR and communications strategies across Domestic & General’s UK and international businesses. Prior to joining the company, Nick spent eight years as Head of HR for HSBC UK and was HR Director at FirstData. Nick is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development and he holds a BA (Hons) degree in Personnel Management from the University of Greenwich. Nick regularly contributes to leading trade and national publications, including HR Director, the Financial Times and the Telegraph. Nick has been a Trustee at Foal Farm since 2019; he grew up in Biggin Hill and has always admired the work of the farm.

Charles Johnston

A qualified engineer who also has a Master’s in Business Administration, Charles started at Sport England in 2008 as Property Director, where he is responsible for the Capital Investment Programme for public sports facilities.He began his career at Jaguar before joining Sainsbury’s where he progressed to become Director of Construction and Facilities. In addition to his involvement with Foal Farm, Charles is also a trustee on the London Marathon Trust, Royal Albert Docks Trust, and the Manchester Active Trust.  He is also a board member of Liveable Exeter regeneration programme.

Liz Cordingley

Liz took early retirement in 1999 following a 32 year career in teaching. Her last post was Head teacher of a Lambeth primary school. Liz has been involved with Foal Farm for many years and volunteers as a home checker, runs outside events and runs the on-site pet shop. She has given a home to many animals from Foal Farm including her 10 year old dog.

Carole Vernon

Carole joined Foal Farm as a volunteer dog walker more than 20 years ago. She later became involved with the on-site tearoom, which she now runs. Carole became a Trustee in 2011 and lives locally in West Wickham.
