Rehoming a small animal

Small animals needing a home

From rabbits and guinea pigs to hamsters, gerbils, mice, ferrets, rats and degus – we’ve got lots of small animals to choose from!

Whilst the current situation means that any rehoming is appointment basis only, with introductions being carried out with social distancing in place, our staff are still working hard to respond to rehoming enquiries to rehome our lovely animals.

How does it work?

Small animals can make excellent pets, but they do require lots of care and attention.Rabbits and guinea pigs need companionship – they are much happier living in pairs.

At the bottom of this page you can see all the rabbits, guinea pigs, and other small animals that we have just waiting for their perfect home.

Once you’ve found the animal you’d like to rehome, please read the rehoming guidelines, then fill out an application form.

We believe in matching the right animal to the right home, as the needs of the animal are our top priority. If we find a match you’ll be invited for an introduction.

Rehoming guidelines for small animals

Rabbits

Whether you are looking to home a pair of rabbits or a single rabbit to pair with your rabbit we will always home check to ensure they have the best life they can. Rabbits need plenty of space to run around, so we suggest they have a 6ft hutch/house with an 8ft by 6ft run, preferably attached.

We are also happy for rabbits to live indoors as house rabbits but they will also need to have at least the same size accommodation and a run for some garden time.

Guinea pigs

Whether you are looking to home a pair of guinea pigs or a single for your current guinea pig we will always home check to ensure they have the best life they can. Guinea pigs need plenty of space to live a happy life, so we suggest a minimum 4ft cage/hutch with a run which would need to be at least 4ft by 4ft.
